1969 E Type Jaguar FHC 4.2 Litre
Australian delivered into Sydney and sold new by Byson Industries NSW.
Factory Signal Red with Beige trim and optioned when new with Chrome Wire Wheels.
4 owners from new, and is matching numbers with books. Older restoration but in exceptional condition with no rust, and lovely mechanicals. Paint is excellent but has some small imperfections.
First owner Konstantin (Ken) Sluz purchased the car after winning the Sydney Opera House lottery in 1969, he was 21 years old.
Ken took delivery of this Signal Red E Type on 19.05.1970; his parents house in Croydon was noted as the delivery address.
The E type went immediately to Canberra where Ken was living with his grandparents, and two weeks after taking delivery a photo was taken in the street at the Civic Centre Canberra. This photo is now in the National Archives.
The second owner purchased the E Type in 1976 and kept it for over 40 years with a collector next then me.
This is a strong no fuss E Type that starts first time, does not miss a beat and will run all day. It does not run hot in any weather, great oil pressure and everything works.
Has original tool roll, jack, books and manuals.
Impressive vehicle that attracts attention and drives even better than it looks.
