Early build HT 80837 GTS, Chev 307 powered Powerglide & 3.36:1 LSD Salisbury.
Showing roughly 85,000 (more likely 185,000) MILES and will be sold without registration or RWC.
The original 307 starts on first turn of the key, and has been reconditioned with a mild cam, Fuellie heads, Edelbrock manifold and Holley (the original 307 heads, 2V manifold, Rochester 2GV carb & air cleaner are included as per pics)
New master cylinder, wheel cylinders, and brake hoses recently fitted.
The car retains all its factory 80837 features including genuine (not repro) sports wheel discs & is fitted with some desirable options as per the pictures.
Like most unrestored Monaro’s of this age, I’m sure it's had some work done over the years, and this Monaro has been partially resprayed in the 1990’s. It presents well although definitely not show quality, having stone chips & minor preparation imperfections, maybe rated 7/10.
All stainless trim is present, although there is minor marking on the stainless gutter moulds from roof-racks.
ITEMS NEEDING ATTENTION:
The drivers seatbelt needs re-webbing due to fraying from rubbing on the buckle (see pic)
The head lining has a small tear above the coat hook.
Rarer than an HK 307 GTS, it’s a great car to simply drive it as it is, or use it as a basis for a genuine 307 powered HT GTS resto.
Compared to other advertised Monaro’s, I believe the car is currently well priced for what it is and reflects its mostly unrestored condition & the need for some minor work to enable it to pass a RWC.
Of course the price is negotiable, but please start the process respectfully by making a realistic offer first, and we can go from there.
Alternatively to save us both time, tell me what your budget is, and I’ll let you know whether this is the car for you.
The Monaro is advertised elsewhere and may be removed at anytime subject to offers received.
