We have owned this Beautiful car for 35 years and now in our 80's it is time to let someone else enjoy this dream vehicle. We used the car as a daily drive for many years and then had a complete rebuild carried out. This 1967 Jaguar Mark 2 has the highest levels of refinement and has travelled 4965k since the rebuild. Included in the rebuild was a bare metal repaint in captivating Carnival red, an engine overhaul, fitting of a BW auto trans, thermatic radiator fan, power steering, alternator, heated rear window, wire wheels with new tyres fitted recently. The walnut wood work was completely refurbished and still in like new condition. A feature of this much admired car is the superb upholstery and carpets and mats. The biscuit coloured leather on the seats has contrasting red piping and is stunning. The front seats are modified Van Den Plas seats restyled to Mk2 shape and panelling with unique head rests and electric height adjustment and of course, picnic tables. Being a later production MK2, the recoil seat belts are bolted into factory fitted attachment sites. An electric aerial is fitted. A full MK2 tool kit and wheel hammer is provided.
We have had enormous enjoyment out of this fabulous car. We have won National Jaguar Concours Gold and many other trophies such as Car of the Show Award.
At car shows and in the street many swoon over this vehicle and tell us this is the car they have wanted to own.
The car has been meticulously maintained and has had a recent service and tune and is running superbly.
I am reliably informed the cost of rebuilding a Mk 2 Jaguar to the specifications of this car is now in the order of $200k
Recently I displayed this Mark 2 at a local car show, and as usual, it attracted enormous interest and many made very complementary comments, saying such things as, "it's the best I have seen", and "it's a beautiful car" and so on.
