Australian delivered MK1 MGB in its original British Racing Green.
Recently completed restoration, nothing to spend. Bare metal respray, new interior, suspension rebuilt with new bushes, too many parts to list.
Drives beautifully. This is pure MG motoring at its best. The MK1 models are becoming hard to get and increasing in value. The 1966 model has the stronger 5-bearing engine. No overdrive, no heater - pure, raw and involving and completely original. You can't help but smile whenever you get behind the wheel.
Interior is all new. Dashboard was removed and powder-coated. Gauges and switchgear replaced or reconditioned. Seats have been reupholstered in the original black with white piping. All new quality carpets. Dynamat sound and heat insulation fitted throughout makes this a very pleasant car to drive. New Moto-Lita wood steering wheel completes the picture. Boot has been fully carpeted and on-board battery trickle charger and isolator switch installed. New tonneau cover. Soft top is in average condition but it's never used.
This car has had just three owners in the past 40 years. Was very original just tired before the restoration. Needless to say the restoration cost was far higher than the asking price.
It's a gorgeous little car that brings smiles wherever it goes. Has been used in quite a few photo shoots. Part of a collection stored on our property in the Hunter Valley but unfortunately doesn't get the use it deserves.
