Here we have my 33,000 miles from new 240 manual.
The car is totally original paint, showing signs of age. There is not one spot of rust in this car and you are welcome to inspect it on my hoist. The body is straight and door gaps are perfect, still has original door seals.
The interior has not been touched and is perfect, seats are perfect and nice and subtle with no cracking or tares. The carpets are still original and all the original underlay is perfect.
The hood lining is great and the door trims are also perfect.
I doubt you will find a better original totally rust free body anywhere else.
This car had been garaged away for nearly 30 years. I have owned it for 13 years and in the last couple it has had extensive work and modifications in preparation for a 4.2 motor.
The diff has been converted to an LSD centre, every bearing and seal replaced. Every rear suspension bush upgraded to poly bush. Rear sway bar installed. New rear disc’s, bearings, Cooper craft caliper inserts fitted, green stuff pads, spax adjustable shocks, handbrakes rebuilt with new pads and a stainless rear brake line.
The front suspension was total rebuilt, all new ball joints, full poly bush suspension bushes installed, upgraded new front springs, spax adjustable shocks, Cooper craft upgraded alloy 4 pot calipers, green stuff pads, new vented front disc’s and bearings.
New clutch and brake master cylinders and a fully rebuilt brake booster.
Wilkinson full rack and pinion steering upgrade.
All hoses and belts changed.
Fully serviced with new oils and filters.
New water pump, serviced radiator, upgraded to an alternator, new battery, fully serviced fuel system and carbs.
Running Penrite HPR 30 engine oil.
Large front sway bar.
Has 15” mini lite wheels.
The car with its original 2.4 starts runs and drives great. It has been registered for about 3 years and driven about 500 kilometres.
It does have a Bluetooth stereo and upgraded speakers as well as a full set of new seatbelts.
Just drop a 4.2 and a five speed in and you will have the perfect sleeper with all the good bits already done for performance, handling and braking.
