This 1964 Jensen C-V8 Mk II is as rewarding to drive every day as it is to look at. Fantastic in outright performance yet genuinely practical as a grand tourer, it represents a great examples of this increasingly rare model. The Chrysler 383 cubic inch V8 has been professionally reconditioned and the results speak for themselves: it starts effortlessly, pulls cleanly through the rev range, and is a genuine pleasure to drive. Capable of 0–60mph in under 7 seconds and a top speed approaching 140mph, the C-V8 was among the fastest production cars of its era and it still feels quick today. Finished in a striking deep blue with a tan interior in excellent condition, the visual combination is hard to fault. The Mk II's distinctive four-headlamp nose — introduced in 1963 — gives it a purposeful, elegant presence that turns heads without trying. Jensen's fibreglass body over a steel chassis means the car has been spared the rust issues that plague comparable steel-bodied classics of the period. The car began its life in the United Kingdom before spending time in France, and was subsequently imported to Australia by the current owner, who invested significantly in bringing it to the exceptional standard it presents today. The odometer reads just 02865 miles.Fewer than 500 Mk IIs were ever built; right-hand drive examples with this level of preparation and history are rarer still.
