Although always referred to as the 1963 year model Corvette, this early car was made in October 1962 being the 702nd car across the line. Finished in Red with the red interior option 490D and a white soft top which also includes a white factory hardtop, option number C07, and white side wall tyres P92.
In all 21,513 series C2 Corvettes were made almost split evenly between the roadster and split window coupes, although the roadsters outnumbered the coupes by 425 units.
Originally a 327, but now with a 350 engine, and disc brake front end, however still with the 4 speed M 20 Muncie gearbox. Only the early cars had the fibreglass headlamp buckets and glove box lid , and this car still retains those features, which is quite unusual after 64 years.
Formally Club Reg with the Chevrolet Car Club with CP number 00707H , this permit expired in 2018, and the car has seen little use since, being part of a collection.
