Renault Floride advertising has historically focused on its elegant, stylish design, often featuring glamorous imagery and targeting a sophisticated clientele. Small French convertible with removable hardtop (with stand). Magenta/silver colour scheme. Soft-top in excellent condition with clear rear plastic window. Originally 845cc, but re-engined with a larger (but externally identical) 1256cc mated with a 330-03 all synchro, stronger gearbox from a Renault 10 or 12. The Renault Type 330-03 is a highly sought-after, gearbox which can handle up to 120HP. Compression tested- like factory values. Gearbox recently removed, checked, new seals, new gearbox mounts, new CV joint bearings. No leaks at all! New clutch and throw-out bearing installed Recent service. Recent head-off refurbishment. New carburetor, coil, distributor with electronic ignition, spark plugs and alternator/voltage regulator. New FM radio with Bluetooth/USB and new speakers. Rewired with extra fuses. New ammeter/voltmeter/temp gauge. Interior good (no rips, tears or worn areas). Paint has a few defects (see photos). New water pump, hoses, new accessory belt, recent coolant flush, twin electric cooling fans, enlarged new radiator (aluminum 3 row). Open side air scoops. Brand new tyres x4 (literally zero km at the time of writing),Silk wide alloy 15" wheels, enlarged disc brakes front and rear, new brake and clutch master cylinders (hydraulic clutch) , new brake pads, hoses, rotors and pistons. Stainless steel luggage rack. Spare tyre. Chrome is excellent. Two horns ("Town and Country"), wire screen stainless steel headlight protectors. Lots of workshop manuals, spare parts manuals, road tests, magazine articles and receipts. No seat belts or cup holders. No heater or air-conditioning. No GPS, Tachometer not connected. New tail light lenses. New front and rear shocks. New check straps. Battery moved to Engine bay for better starting. Not suitable for a large person due to small cabin and close pedals. No previous history known as bought at auction 5 years ago. Currently on Tasmania historic registration (non-transferable). Front driving lights not connected. Some scratches on windscreen.
