Rare 1962 Porsche Super Notchback Imported from California in 2023. Car is mechanically sound and drives well. Has recently had a full re/spray paint in signal red. Interior in great condition tan leather & carpets. The Leitz luggage rack is original not a reproduction. Information on the model: The 1962 Porsche 356B T6 Notchback Coupe (often referred to as the Karmann Notchback) is a rare variant produced at the end of 1961 and through 1962, with roughly 600–700 units produced in total (some sources indicate 600 in 1961/62 and 99 more in 1962). It was designed as a fixed-roof hardtop version of the Cabriolet, featuring a unique "notch" in the rear roofline and no window frames. Key Features and Specifications: Body Type: T6 body style featuring twin engine lid grilles, an external fuel filler in the right front fender, and a larger, flatter rear window. Engine: Commonly fitted with the 1600 Super (S) engine, which produced 75 hp Production: These were built by Karmann in limited numbers, with production of the T6 variant tapering off in 1962. Significance: Known for being a "hybrid" between the coupe and cabriolet, it is a highly sought-after, rare, and collectable model.
