EXPERIENCE THIS RIDE
This car has travelled just under 30,000 miles since restoration, Photos and documentation of the process are available.. It is in GREAT condition. Matching numbers. Tan interior. Ceramic coated.
This Australian delivered 1962 MGA 1600 Mk 2 has beem in my ownership for 17 years. In restoration the body was removed from the chassis and check for alignment and any variations eliminated. Once trued and sand blasted it was then epoxy coated. The chassis internal sections were filled with primer, drained and later treated with fish oil. As part of its total mechanical restoration the front swivel pins were remanufactured from high grade steel to suit the steering knuckles and all bushing replaced. The steering also benefits from a complete overhaul. Attention then turned to panel restoration. All panels were stripped to bare metal and any deterioration was removed and replaced with new sections. With all cylinders and callipers sleeved, new rotors, pads, rear linings, flexible hoses replaced. The brakes were as new but would now require review. They seem ok but the car is booked in for a service at the Healey Factory in April when all will be rechecked. During the full engine rebuild the opportunity to fully balance was taken, This 'A" is of the highest quality. I suggest that it would be extremely difficult to match this one. It has always been garaged and under a soft cover. Not driven on any but the sunniest of days. To be sold with Victorian RWC and registration. The planned service of this car has now been completed and a full inspection completed. As a result of the service findings the car now has a NEW CLUTCH..
