After 7 years the time has come to part ways with my Impala, have recently purchased another classic car and simply haven’t driven the Impala since. Feels unfair and no good for the car to just be sitting. Always been an absolute trooper of a car, engine purrs (350 SBC) and the gear changes are smooth as can be from the Turbo 400 gearbox All electrical elements work aside from the speedo which hasn’t worked since purchasing the car even though it’s a simple fix I have just never worried about it. I have driven this car to 1770 and Port Macquarie just cruising the whole way and with a big grin on the face The car was fully restored somewhere around 2010 which is when the new engine went in In my ownership (all documented as well) - New OEM fuel tank - new shock absorbers - new radiator - new twin thermo fans - new mechanical fuel pump - Refurbished steering rack All done by professionals as I’m not mechanically inclined Serviced every 6 months either with Gasoline Alley or 310 Autosport more recently. Currently registered until June 2026 3 items to address on the car are the Speedo cable & upper control arm bushes as the left side has developed a new squeak but obviously drives perfectly fine as is. Last is that the front bumper was overtightened on one side when re-installed so slightly dug into the body - it has been like that since I bought it and just haven’t repaired it as I have just wanted to enjoy the car and drive it not pick at it and look at it
