This car has been built & serviced by Bob Rowntree of Rowntree Automotive. A name synonymous with historic racing in NSW as well as the MG & Sprite car clubs. Stripped & resprayed in MX-5 Blue, the car is not original as it has been updated to make it more of a driving pleasure. Including fibreglass bonnet, 1275cc engine, twin 1 1/2" SU carburetors, Cooper S cam shaft & extractors. Other features include front disc brakes, a heater, variable wiper control, minilite wheels with Falken tyres, chrome/padded anti-roll bar, driver & passenger harness & sway bar. Serviced regularly & always garaged, the car drives beautifully & is a real head turner with that iconic rasping exhaust. The car has full registration until June 2026. It will come with a spare 45 Webber & exhaust manifold, side curtains & tonneau cover as well as my collection of memorabilia including magazines, service manuals, original driver's manual & signage. I love this car, but unfortunately, life gets in the way & I just don't get to drive it enough. Which is why it has 3400 miles on the clock. Bob casts a regular eye over the car. Recent work includes an overhaul of the front brakes including new discs, callipers & stainless steel lines. This car is ready to be driven away and enjoyed.
