This 1953 Buick Roadmaster 4 door Sedan is truly a very nice original Model 72R, originally from Indiana in the US, Left-Hand Drive.
This 53 Roadmaster has a V8, 322 cubic inch Fireball engine (the Nail head), Dynaflow Auto transmission, power steering, power brakes, Selectomatic AM radio, clock, under seat heater, and driver's side spot light.
I have really enjoyed the car over the last several years of owning it and have only taken it out once or twice a month, but sadly am feeling its now time to move it on as I have another project to focus on.
The Roadmaster is a stunning looking car and will attract waves and toots from other cars when you're out and about. The ride is super smooth and super comfortable.
The Buick is almost all original except for an electric fuel pump (instead of the original vacuum type), and I have changed the generator to an alternator. 12 volt. The original generator comes with the car.
Spares include new brake pads and brake cylinders, new lifter for the engine, spare tyre and original jack. Comes with Factory Seat Covers which I have kept on the seats so the upholstery is immaculately outstanding.
There is also some original documents and a Buick brochure.
The odometer is showing 775 miles but I cannot verify the accuracy of this. The Speedometer works perfectly, as do all the gauges , clock, and lights.
The car has been professionally rust proofed about 5 years ago.
The radio was working up till about a year ago but I believe the floor heater has bare wires that are shorting and have taken out the associated fuse.
Seatbelts are not required for this year car, however seatbelts have been fitted and are currently pushed under the seats if they are needed.
I am offering the car without a roadworthy, it is currently registered till 6th of February.
