Genuine Canadian army Jeep for sale WW2 North African unit, I have some of the original book pages and some service records, also other memorabilia including sevice book.
Possibly the best genuine unrestored unbutchered and totally reliable Jeep in Australia, I would not hesitate in driving this anywhere or any distance. It drives nicely at 70/80 kph.
The Engine gearbox transfer box have been professionally restored including reboring, new oversize pistons, resized con rods, new cam chain, valve seats for unleaded fuel all receipts available new shocks, springs serviced and new U bolts.
Brakes overhauled, serviced master cylinder and new wheel cylinders.
New clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing.
Starter and generator serviced.
New genuine oil pump.
New battery.
Radiator had tanks removed and cleaned.
Original factory shovel, axe is correct for year but not original.
Jerry can is not original from factory.
New soft top.
New fuel tank.
Oil can is still there.
The voltage regulator still has the original lock wire and lead seal on it.
Runs and drives very well, cruises comfortable at speeds between 70 and 80kph with no head shake and steers while cruising with one hand.
A Jeep of this calibre unrestored and in great condition is more valuable than a restored unit.
The paint is original over 80 years old so don’t expect to see your face in it.
Original split rims.
Original fire extinguisher.
Some small rust signs in various areas, where they normally rust because of the process using wood in the manufacturing to give strength in certain areas,the normal places are in the foot wells slight rust just coming thru, the right hand side step has been repaired some time ago before I got the vehicle, it also has been touched up with a slightly different paint in that area.
The secret to stop the rust is not to drive it the rain.
Quite a lot of other small spares included including a complete front spring and another set with one leaf missing.
I have nothing to hide, inspections welcome and a long test drive is available to genuine buyers.
I’m selling to downsize too many vehicles and motor cycles and I’m getting old.
These are an appreciating assett that you can drive regulary.
