This 1939 SS Jaguar 2.5 litre 4 speed manual is one of only about 17 left in the world.
Being built before the war this is a real SS built by Swallow Sidecars and has all the higher quality fittings not seen on the post war models.
It was originally delivered new by the dealer to a Lady in Melbourne in 1939. It is one of the first SS Cars to have the Jaguar name.
It is a fully restored vehicle and is very reliable and has aftermarket totally hidden air conditioning.
As you can see by the photographs, it is in very good condition and looks truly spectacular.
It recently completed a trip to Tasmania from Brisbane and return with no problems.
Since its restoration it has won many national and state awards and is about to go from Brisbane to Hobart and return for the Jaguar Nationals.
It has been to Perth and back without any issues and travels at highway speeds easily.
It returns around 11 litre per 100kms fuel economy.
The car is painted in Jaguar 1939 Maroon and trim is correct colour and hood is also correct colour.
The body work and paint was done from bare metal and uses only 2 pack products and provides a long lasting excellent appearance.
More photos can be provided to interested purchasers.
All numbers are matching and engine is externally original with reconditioned higher performance parts.
It comes with original maroon colored wire wheels and also chrome wire wheels.
The tool kit is complete and correct.
Steering , gearbox and brakes are excellent and all components have been rebuilt.
It is regularly used for rally and social events.
As any Jaguar enthusiast would realize, this genuine SS JAGUAR DROP HEAD COUPE would command a far higher price in England or Europe but I would like the car to stay with an enthusiast in Australia as it was delivered to Australia.
I have a reasonable documented history of the vehicle and I have log books, Manual and sales brochures.
I also have some spares and service items.
I also have my JAGUAR XK120 DHC for sale.
