Chassis 12772, Engine 13222, DH Coupe Charlesworth Body 13668. Despatched November 1935 to London dealer and sold to Mr. A Freeman of Kent. Acquired in 1960 by Mr. J Betterton of Yorkshire. Advertised in 1965 (see photo at the Alvis works in 1965) by Betterton and acquired by Mr. M Miner of Los Angeles, California. Sent by Mr Miner to Australia for restoration in mid 1980's. Returned to USA and shown at Pebble Beach Concours in 1988. Won numerous awards in Classic events in USA in '80's and '90's. Acquired by Collector Robert Hood in California in 1993 and kept in his collection for 10 years. Sold at Bonhams Quail Lodge Auction in 2003 and acquired by Robert Jenkins of Mississippi and shown at Amelia Island Concours in 2004. Entered Australia in 2005 acquired by Mr. R Williams in Melbourne who owned the car until he passed away in 2011. Then purchased by another Melbourne collector who kept it virtually unused for 10 years. Acquired by the current owner in early 2022 and underwent a complete mechanical recommissioning, the bodywork and interior remain in superb condition. Most reluctant sale due to house move and age (of owner!). This is a brief history, much more detail is available. This car has a unique and remarkable history and would be a valuable addition to any collection. Reasonable offers will be considered. .
