1926 Vintage Citroën B14 – Rare Australian-Bodied Classic
Up for sale is a truly special piece of automotive history — a 1926 Citroën B14 that belonged to my late grandfather.
This is a rare example in Australia, built locally by Richards Motor Bodies in central Adelaide, adding to its uniqueness and historical value.
The car has been stored undercover since restoration and presents beautifully for its age:
4 cylinder engine
Original 6V electrical system
Upholstery in near-new condition
Carpets like new
Soft top in excellent condition
Paintwork in great condition overall
Some minor rust present
It is largely complete from what I can see and comes with:
Spare rims
Spare engine
Additional spare parts
This vehicle was previously owned by the late Spud Murphy of Spud Murphy’s Roadhouse, adding another layer of South Australian history.
The car was running many years ago but has been sitting for a long time and will require work to bring it back to roadworthy condition. It would make an incredible restoration project or collector’s piece.
This is not just a car — it’s a piece of family and local history. I would love to see it go to a good home and hopefully back on the road one day.
All serious offers will be considered.
